The World Qigong Forum is prepared and organised by the executive committee of The All Japan Shaolin Temple Qigong Association and will be run in collaboration with Dr Effie Chow of East West Academy of Healing Arts. This is where eminent qigong practitioners and martial artitsts of Japan and from overseas congregate to demonstrate and instruct in highly developed qigong, health regimens and martial arts grandly regardless of style once every three years.

Where would a person be in a life of suffering? What is the true satisfaction of a person?
Some people may be attracted by entertainment such as stage magic but such interest would dwindle away over time. Taking interest in new things after new things would take a person nowhere.
What is important to us does not exist outside but resides inside us, which is the theme of this forum.

The All Japan Shaolin Temple Qigong Association publishes the sixth book in March next year. The title of the book is ‘Shourinji Hiden -Zen, Bu, Ki-‘ (English title is to be announced later) and is a large volume exceeding 600 in page number which primarily focuses on levels in zen training but also explains levels in qigong training. We wish everyone to realise anyone can undertake such training in this society and to understand its efficacy for medical treatment and health. Qigong and zen as the core should come in useful in everyday living and depending on the level of commitment anyone can perform it as long as they know how to. You can experience that to your heart’s content in this forum. To give further details, the forum holds events included ones listed below.

○Demonstration of Martial Arts of the World
○Shaolin Temple Martial Arts, Introduction of Qigong to the World, Demonstration of Kungfu, Tournament of Eccletic Martial Arts for Adults, Trial Classes
○Karate Demonstration by 100 Primary and Secondary School Pupils
○Networking of Disabled Children and Adults

We, The All Japan Shaolin Temple Qigong Association has been present for 19 years since the foundation and all of us who hold qualification in coaching qigong have learnt and been practising qigong, zen and martial arts. However, we are occasionally mistaken for Shourinji-boxing in Japan and we wish that by joining this forum you get to know qigong and martial arts of ancient tradition.
