JUSTIN NGUI

Justin Ngui-Hon-Sang

R.TCMP. R. Ac., IMD.,B.ScH., Qigong Master, Gongfu Master

Justin Nguiā€™s path to becoming a master healer, Sifu in Qigong and Gongfu and advocate for holistic wellness began long before he officially stepped into his role. Born into a 24-generation lineage of Chinese medicine, Qigong, and martial arts, he was immersed in these ancient practices from childhood, learning firsthand the principles of energy, movement, and healing from his father. Training in Gongfu, Qigong, and the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine wasnā€™t just a skillā€”it was a way of life.
His deep understanding of the human body was further enriched by his experience as a dancer and Gongfu practitioner. As a salsa instructor, he honed his knowledge of biomechanics, rhythm, and body awareness, mastering how movement influences health. Through martial arts and dance, he gained an intimate, hands-on understanding of how energy flows through the body, how posture affects vitality, and how movement can healā€”all of which would later shape his holistic approach to medicine.
Yet, like many, Justin was drawn to the possibilities of the modern world. He pursued a degree in computer engineering and computer science, excelling in the technology sector. But what he found was a world of high stress, declining health, and chronic imbalanceā€”a system that optimized efficiency but often sacrificed well-being. Colleagues and peers were overworked, burned out, and disconnected from their own bodies.
It was then that he began to truly understand the depth of his early training. He saw that what he had learned as a childā€”balance, energy, and holistic healingā€”was exactly what people were missing. The contrast was stark, and it called him back to his roots. He made the pivotal decision to return to his familyā€™s tradition, training intensively under his father for many years before fully stepping into the clinic.
Since then, Justin has become a sought-after practitioner, where he treats patients from all over Canada and beyond. But his approach goes far beyond acupuncture and herbal medicine. Healing, he believes, is more than just a treatmentā€”itā€™s a relationship. Finding the right practitioner is key to true healing, and his deep care for his patients is what sets him apart.
Justin doesnā€™t just treat ailments; he mentors, teaches, and guides his patients, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to take charge of their own health. From lifestyle coaching and nutrition based on Chinese food medicine to spiritual and life guidance, he helps his patients align not just their bodies, but their minds and spirits as well. His philosophy is rooted in the understanding that healing is a journey, and the practitioner-patient connection is what makes transformation possible.
His expertise has extended far beyond the clinic walls. He has traveled on humanitarian missions to Haiti, worked with major organizations like the York Region District School Board and the North American Association of Asian Professionals, and led sold-out workshops and training sessions that demonstrate the transformative power of Qigong, movement, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Justinā€™s impact also reaches the global stage. As President of the Executive Council for the first-ever World Congress on Qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Canada, he played a pivotal role in bringing together experts in holistic healing, partnering with Dr. Effie Chow, a former White House Commission member on Complementary and Alternative Medicine.
Today, Justin continues to evolve his practice, incorporating every element of his journeyā€”his early training, his understanding of modern stress, his mastery of movement, and his deep knowledge of multiple healing disciplinesā€”into a true holistic system for transformation. His goal is simple yet profound: to empower people to reclaim their health, energy, and balanceā€”not just through treatment, but through connection, understanding, and lifelong wellness.
For those seeking more than just healing, but true transformation, Justin Ngui is not just a practitionerā€”he is a guide to a healthier, more vibrant, and deeply connected life.

Words From Sifu

Qigong

Training in Qigong has been always a part of my life. Growing up it was just something that we did. My father would have little practices for us to do, and would talk about principles he learned from his father. In my adult life, it exists seamlessly with everything I do. It exists when I take in my first conscious breath in the morning, in the middle of the day when I’m moving and thinking, and at night when I’m encouraging rest and relaxation.Ā  I believe that true holistic training exists as a part of you, and so I encourage this in myself, my patients, my students and my family. Be a part of all things, and let those things be a part of you.Ā

If you would enjoy this type of “family-style” training, where the focus is on understanding, cultivation, harnessing and applying energy, please send me a message and join the family.

Gongfu

Gongfu practice is organic, just as Qigong. Our practice is based on energetic principles, and trained through the mind-body-spirit connection. Where Qigong you work from the inside-to-outside, in Gongfu we work from the outside-to-inside. Meaning the direction in which the energy moves start from the exterior, and moves toward the interior. Of course because of this, there must exist some energy within first, which is why I do not emplore learning any Gongfu before there is ample Qigong training. That being said, it is one of the most helpful forms of training in dealing with “outside energy” from yourself, and cultivating strength of mind, power of body, and unwavering spirit.
