JESSIE ZSOLT

Jessie Zsolt

R.Ac., Ba.H., Senior Qigong Student

Throughout Jessie’s life, she experienced a strong connection to energy and the natural world, and a deepening curiosity about these experiences has developed into a passion for working with energy. In 2011 Jessie visited Plum Village to train in the mindfulness tradition of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, where she became captivated by the power of the mind. At the age of 20, after several years of practicing yoga and meditation, Jessie began her training in qigong and gongfu under the mentorship of Sifu Justin Ngui, 24th generation in the Ngui family lineage. Since then, she has dedicated her life to the practice of qigong.

Jessie has an Honours BA from York University in the Humanities. She is certified as a Level I and Level II Yoga Teacher with Paola Di Paolo of Four Directions Yoga, is trained as a Birth Doula, carries a Diploma of Acupuncture from Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine, and participates in an ongoing mentorship with Sifu Justin Ngui to further her skills as a healer, teacher, and student. In addition to her work in the healing arts, Jessie has also performed in several cirque productions as a fire dancer and has partnered with Diana Lopez Soto Productions in hosting dance workshops.

Jessie uses the principles and practice of qigong in everything she does whether it be cooking, dancing, relationships, or connecting to the natural world. She believes that practicing qigong empowers the practitioner by deepening their relationship with themselves and connecting more intimately with the world. Jessie spends her days teaching qigong, practicing acupuncture, and using energy to assist people with better understanding themselves and the world around them. She is passionate about empowering people to use energy as a means to lead healthier and more fulfilling lives.
